520 _aIt is possible to identify the outputs, the terms of transmission, and the effects of the ideal-typical matrix for professional socialization of surgeons. This matrix is characterized by dispositions socially constructed as masculine, by relatively "rough" and brutal terms of transmission, and also by a reinforcement of previously incorporated “masculine” dispositions–something which confirms, in this case, that secondary socialization reinforces the effects of previous socializations. However, it is possible to qualify this ideal-typical matrix and to underline the plurality of social players and contexts of socialization within it, as well as the possible inflexions which can occur during the course of the individual’s career, depending on particular events or biographical accidents.
