520			_aIt was a common attempt of all authors of “memory places” to avoid an account of a national canon, implicit understood as unvarying, unitary and mostly in relation to the nationality. Based on an analyse of their theoretical considerations, this article will prove how pertinent social environment is in the memory process and therefore for an investigation of any cultural canon, in relation to the construct of national identity.
520			_aDem gemeinsamen Versuch der Autoren der „Gedächtnisorte“, die Darstellung eines nationalen Kanons zu vermeiden, liegt eine Auffassung des kulturellen Kanons zugrunde, der implizit als unbeweglich, einheitlich und meistens nationalgebunden empfunden wird. Anhand einer Untersuchung ihrer theoretischen Überlegungen wird die Relevanz der Kategorie des Erinnerungsmilieus für die Analyse eines jeden kulturellen Kanons nachgewiesen und die konstruktivistische Dimension der nationalen Identität aufgezeigt.
