Toutefois, si l'on examine l'état de la numérisation au Moyen-Orient au cours des dix dernières années, il apparaît que ce tournant n’a pas suscité le même intérêt que sur d’autres continents. Cela a donc affecté l'accessibilité de ces matériaux patrimoniaux, qui ont été détruits ou perdus pour différentes raisons. Cet article vise donc à répondre à une question fondamentale : pourquoi la numérisation des collections de manuscrits dans les pays arabes ne progresse-t-elle pas comme elle le devrait et qu'est-ce que cela signifie au-delà de la numérisation ?
520			_aThe digitisation of archival and manuscript collections has become an endorsed trend equally in the international and national levels. However, looking at the state of digitisation in the Middle East in the last ten years, it will appear that it has not received the same level of attention. This has, therefore affected the accessibility of these heritage materials, which have been subject to destruction or loss because of various reasons. This paper, therefore, aims to answer fundamental questions such as why the digitisation of manuscripts collections in the Arab world is not progressing as it should be? And what are the outcomes of the projects that have already been completed?
