L’impossibilité pour un ouvrier noir de « parler » à un contremaître blanc identifie l’oppression de la parole qui régnait autrefois à l’usine comme la forme particulière qu’a revêtue l’apartheid dans l’espace de la production. Par ailleurs, la catégorie « communiquer » leur permet d’identifier aujourd’hui l’usine comme un lieu de production au service de la reconstruction de l’Afrique du Sud – marque de l’unanimisme productiviste qui caractérise leurs formes de pensée contemporaines.

The impossibility for a black worker to talk to a white foreman identifies the former interdiction to talk in factories as a form of apartheid in the production place. Moreover the category « communicate » enables them today to identify the factory as a production place used for reconstruction of South Africa – a mark of the productivist unanimism that characterizes their contemporaneaous forms of thinking.
