520			_aRésuméL’étude de l’introduction du camping dans les mouvements de jeunesse protestants éclaire la façon dont s’élabore une « théorie du camp » associant au séjour dans la nature des vertus éducatives. Sa diffusion répond à l’émergence, au début du siècle, d’une nouvelle conception de l’adolescence qui pousse à la remise en cause des méthodes traditionnelles d’éducation. Cette étude montre comment les pédagogies nouvelles tentent, par l’allègement temporaire de certains codes de civilité et de comportement qui encadrent la présence sociale du jeune garçon, d’agir sur sa nature profonde et de renforcer son adhésion aux normes morales, civiques et religieuses.
520			_aThe study of the beginning of camping practice in protestant youth movements highlights the mode of elaboration of a « theory of camping » that attaches educational values to a stay in the nature. The development of this practice corresponds to a new conception of adolescence that appears at the beginning of the century and questions traditional educational methods. More generally, this study shows how new educational methods, through a temporary softening of certain codes of civility and behaviour that control the young boy’s social life, tend to act upon his deep nature and to reinforce his adhesion to moral, civil and religious norms.
520			_aZusammenfassungDie Studie der Einführung der Campingpraxis in protestantischen Jungenbewegungen zeigt, wie sich eine « Theorie des Campingplatzes » erstellt hat, die dem Aufhalt in der Natur erzieherische Tugenden zuschreibt. Die Verbreitung dieser Praxis entspricht einer neuen Auffassung der Adoleszenz, die am Anfang des Jahrhunderts erscheint und die traditonnellen Erziehungsmethoden in Frage stellt. In allgemeiner Weise zeigt diese Studie, wie die neuen Erziehungsmethoden versuchen, durch eine vorläufige Lockerung gewisser Höfflichkeits- und Verhaltenskoden, die das soziale Leben des Jungen einrahmen, auf seine innerste Natur zu wirken und seine Zustimmung zu moralen, bürgerlichen und religiösen Normen zu verstärken.
