520			_aLes premières communautés humaines considéraient déjà que la violence sexuelle était une atteinte à l’intégrité, exigeant un encadrement législatif. Ce n’était pas tant la prise illégale du corps d’un autre qui justifiait un châtiment, que la matérialisation d’un affront adressé à l’ordre politique. Par la suite, les victimes ont été stigmatisées ou ostracisées, mais toujours contraintes au silence pour ne pas troubler l’ordre, qu’il soit public ou intrafamilial. L’amorce d’une protocolisation d’accompagnement des victimes d’abus sexuels, à la charge d’une société cette fois protectrice, n’émerge qu’après la Deuxième Guerre mondiale. Cette ambition nécessite d’articuler en permanence les savoirs universitaires, les connaissances empiriques des professionnels et les évolutions législatives, afin de créer des dispositifs à la hauteur des besoins des victimes.
