Nous proposons de l’illustrer à partir des « Mémoires de l’abbé de Choisy habillé en femme » (1687-1695), que J. Lacan invitait à lire. Articulée à l’imaginaire maternel, la pratique travestiste de Choisy témoigne d’un démenti de la castration et de l’identification du sujet au phallus. De par le maintien d’une phallicisation du pénis, où le fétiche domine, la nouveauté pubertaire se trouve désavouée et le Féminin non figuré. Seule une stratégie fétichiste a pu répondre pour lui au décès de la mère.

Solamente una estrategia fetichista pudo responder por el frente al deceso de su madre.
