Par delà un certain nombre de points de convergence (primat du pratique, rôle central de la relation originaire à autrui, relation portée par le corps, prioritairement le visage, et prenant la forme d’un commandement), cette confrontation menée sur un plan strictement systématique fait apparaître une différence majeure concernant le statut de la limite. La thèse est que Levinas, pour avoir voulu faire l’économie de la limite, se heurte à des difficultés importantes. | ||

Beyond some convergences (such as the primacy of the practical realm, the key role of the primordial relation of the Other, which is specially sustainded by the body, primarily by the face, and takes the form of an ethical command), this strictly systematic confrontation demonstrates a major divergence concerning the status of the limit.
