Le christianisme lui apparaît comme une « synthèse » entre la Raison et la Révélation, une synthèse dans laquelle les deux éléments perdent leur pureté ou leur authenticité. Prenant appui sur saint Augustin et Pascal, l’article s’interroge sur la pertinence de la notion de « synthèse » dans ce contexte, et propose de recourir à celle de « médiation ».
