Elle a confronté les idéaux libéraux et démocratiques à leurs impensés en soulignant la nécessité de comprendre la société comme une réalité ayant sa consistance et ses structures propres. Mais, en formulant ainsi le programme d’une sociologie, elle s’est trouvée elle-même confrontée à l’obligation « dialectique » de penser le sens de l’événement révolutionnaire dans le tout de l’histoire : la déploration de la rupture de la trame du temps devait paradoxalement déboucher, soit dans l’espoir « progressiste » d’une refondation scientifique de la monarchie, soit dans l’attente messianique d’un nouveau régime du temps. | ||
