| 520 | _aL’article porte sur deux amulettes inscrites représentant la tête de Pazuzu. La première est une pièce en bronze inédite provenant de la collection de Charles-Louis-Marie de l’Écluse, conservée à la Bibliothèque Nationale de France depuis 1906. La seconde, acquise à Bagdad et donnée au Musée du Louvre par G. Maspero en 1883, fut publiée par le Père J.-V. Scheil en 1894. Toutes deux portent différentes versions de l’incantation standard B, nommée “Die akkadische Beschwörung” par R. Borger. La présente étude analyse les caractéristiques des deux amulettes et compare leurs inscriptions avec les autres exemplaires connus de l’incantation standard B, relevés, soit sur des tablettes cunéiformes provenant de Ninive, Sultantepe ou Uruk, soit sur d’autres amulettes représentant la tête de Pazuzu. Les variantes dans l’inscription permettent de les dater et d’identifier leur contexte de production (assyrien ou babylonien) et d’utilisation. | ||

The present paper analyses the characteristics of the two amulets and compares their inscriptions to other examples known from cuneiform tablets originating from Nineveh, Sultantepe, and Uruk, as well as to the other Pazuzu-head amulets. The different versions of the Standard B incantation allow us to date and identify their Assyrian or Babylonian background and their sphere of application. | ||
