520			_aCet article analyse et évalue la traduction des œuvres : Igitur ou la folie d’Elbehnon et L’Après-midi d’un faune de Stéphane Mallarmé, ainsi que Le bateau ivre d’Arthur Rimbaud, par Kaisar Emmanouïl (1902-1970). Les œuvres des poètes symbolistes français (Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Mallarmé, etc.) suscitent un intérêt particulier pour les poètes qui composent la génération dite « des années 1920 » en Grèce. Traducteur passionné de cette époque, Kaisar Emmanouïl offre au lecteur de ses traductions l’opportunité d’explorer le rôle, la position et les possibilités de la poésie traduite dans une société. Le processus qu’il suit met en évidence la manière dont la traduction opère des transfusions de civilisation d’un pays à l’autre et ne se limite pas à de simples répétitions, mais révèle la manière dont la poésie sait inventer de nouvelles identités littéraires.
520			_aIn this article, I analyze and evaluate the translation of the works: “Igitur or Elbehnon’s folly” and “The Afternoon of a faun” by S. Mallarmé, as well as “The Drunken Boat” by A. Rimbaud by Kaisar Emmanouil (1902-1970). The works of French symbolist poets (Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Mallarmé, etc.) arouse particular interest in the poets who make up the so-called “1920s” generation in Greece. A keen translator of that era, Kaisar Emmanouil offers to the reader of his translations the opportunity to explore the role, the position and the possibilities of translated poetry into a society. The process which he follows highlights the way in which translation carries out transfusions of civilization from one country to another and is not limited to simple repetitions, but reveals the way in which poetry knows how to invent new identities inliterature.
