520			_aThe author returns to the concept of the sound envelope introduced by Didier Anzieu [sometimes translated as “the sound image of the self” (Anzieu 1979)] and its limits using the work of Piéra Aulagnier and Édith Lecourt and his own conceptualizations on the destiny of the sound envelope in adolescence. Based on his own clinical practice, the author develops the hypothesis that with puberty the sound envelope built up since early childhood shatters and must be restructured by integrating genital sexuality. This restructuring requires a great deal of psychological work, both on an individual and family level, which is described. The author concludes by showing how work on the sound envelope can be done in analytical music therapy in the most pathological cases.
