520			_aPartant d'attentes limitées préalablement à l'ouverture des débats, le procès a été riche d'enseignements pour les victimes. Les dépositions des parties civiles ont permis de mesurer l'impact des attaques, mais elles ont aussi révélé que, à quelques exceptions près, la majorité ne ressentait ni haine ni désir de vengeance. Plusieurs ont indiqué qu'elles souhaiteraient rencontrer certains accusés en face à face. Le code de procédure pénale prévoit la possibilité de telles rencontres restauratives. Le procès lui-même a permis une évolution du regard de nombreuses victimes sur les accusés, et sans doute aussi de celui des accusés sur les victimes, et donc sur l'entreprise à laquelle ils avaient participé.
520			_aAlthough they had limited expectations as the trial began, the victims nevertheless learned a great deal from the trial. The civil parties' statements allowed the impact of the attacks to be measured, but they also revealed, with just a few exceptions, that the majority of them harboured neither hatred nor a desire for vengeance. Several of them stated that they would like to meet some of the accused face to face. The Code of Criminal Procedure does allow for the possibility of restorative justice meetings of this kind. The trial itself changed how many of the victims saw the accused, and no doubt also the way the accused saw the victims, and therefore the enterprise in which they had participated.
