| 520 | _aLe Centenaire de la Révolution allemande de 1918-1919 a soulevé un intérêt certain en Allemagne et a donné naissance à un foisonnement de livres, d’expositions et d’initiatives assez variées. Il est, de ce fait, assez tentant d’effectuer un premier bilan de cette vague du point de vue historiographique, de l’évolution des thèmes et des formes de la recherche. De la même manière que Rüdiger Graf s’est penché sur les « futurs de la République de Weimar », en invitant les historiens à analyser cette période en dehors de son échec final, il sera donc intéressant, aujourd’hui, de jeter un œil nouveau sur la Révolution allemande, en essayant de restituer ce qu’elle comportait de marges de manœuvre, d’imaginaires politiques, de temporalités, d’incertitudes, bref, tout ce qui en faisait, à l’époque, une série d’événements contingents, et non une lente marche vers des formes politiques aujourd’hui connues. | ||
| 520 | _aThe centenary of the German Revolution of 1918-1919 has aroused a certain interest in Germany and has given rise to a profusion of books, exhibitions and initiatives. It is therefore quite tempting to make an initial assessment of this wave from the historiographic point of view, of the evolution of themes and forms of research. In the same way that Rüdiger Graf examined the “futures of the Weimar Republic”, inviting historians to analyse this period outside of its final failure, it will be interesting today to take a new look at the German Revolution, by trying to restore what it involved in terms of room for manoeuvre, political imaginations, temporalities, uncertainties, in short, everything that made it, at the time, a series of contingent events, and not a slow march towards political forms that are known today. | ||
