245 0 0 _aThe Impacts on Social Adjustment of the Categorization of Black and White Students in French Soccer Academies

520 _aThe aim of this article was to evaluate, from a longitudinal perspective, the adjustments of the racial repartition group of Black and White trainees of French soccer academies on their social personality. Eighty-one trainees of four centres’ were enrolled. Questionnaires were used to measure the trainees satisfaction with their peer and supervisor relationship and the supervisor satisfaction of the trainees behaviors. Results indicated that in a mixed Black/White repartition, the trainees, Black and White, are more satisfied of their peer and supervisor relationship, than the trainees in an unequal repartition. Moreover, the supervisors are less positive of the behavior of the Black trainees than the White trainees and it all the more if they are in equal Black/White repartition. Findings suggest the interest to use the social categorization theory to explain the social adjustment of French soccer academies trainees.
