The signs of suffering of 52 dyads attending a community “well-baby clinic” are assessed immediately after birth, at three months, at six months, and at one year using a twofold methodology: scaled with standardized instruments (EPDS, ADBB, PIPE) and clinical (inspired from infant observation according to Bick and interviews). The efficiency depends on a mixture of devices that allow successive interventions in primary and secondary prevention and then in a psychotherapeutic engagement. The problem of recognizing suffering is discussed, as well as the strategic benefit of the longitudinal monitoring of dyads. | ||
