520 _aThe scars of physical or psychological violence are all the more hard to bear since they are marked by the seal of silence, shame and humiliation. This silence is hard to break because violence seems to stand out from complex family modes, structured around specific configurations, at the same time intra-psychic, relational, intergenerational and transgenerational. In view of situations of intra-family violence, belonging to a different culture puts professionals in difficulty in their daily practice. The author tries to set down milestones for an intercultural clinical questioning rooted in the problems that the migrant families pose for educational, care and judicial institutions. He shows the role and contributions of the psychoanalytic family therapy in the therapeutic management of these critical situations.
