520			_aLes ateliers pédagogiques proposés aux enfants dans des centres d’art sont le plus souvent conceptualisés comme une revalorisation de l’estime de soi. Dans cet article nous tenterons d’aller plus loin en démontrant que la médiation artistique vise un au-delà de l’image mise en jeu par le Moi freudien. En effet, une pratique artistique peut amener le participant à rencontrer un point d’intime en lui mais qui lui est étranger. Pour cela, les médiateurs ont à se positionner comme accompagnants situant le savoir du côté de l’enfant. La pédagogie en jeu n’est donc pas une transmission mais la découverte d’un savoir ignoré au départ. Ainsi, en fréquentant de tels ateliers, certains enfants pourront y faire une rencontre, la rencontre avec une part intime d’eux-mêmes jusque là méconnue. Il s’agit alors d’ouvrir une fenêtre sur l’ek-sistence d’un point de réel, au sens lacanien, toujours discordant et présent en chacun. Ce point ainsi appréhendé pourrait dans un second temps faire accord avec les autres et avec le monde : sortir de la conformité et s’appuyer sur son désir pour s’orienter dans l’existence.
520			_aThe educational workshops offered to children in art centers are conceptualized most of the time as an appreciation of self-respect. In this article, I shall attempt to go further by demonstrating that artistic mediation aims to go one beyond the image brought into play by the Freudian self. Indeed, an artistic practice can bring participants to encounter an intimate point within themselves but which is foreign to them. To achieve this, the mediators have to position themselves as accompanying persons placing knowledge on the side of the child. This pedagogy is not therefore a transmission but the discovery of a knowledge that is unknown at first. So, by attending such workshops, some children can have an encounter there, an encounter with an intimate part of themselves that up until then has been underestimated. It is then a question of opening a window onto the ek-sistence of a point of real, in the Lacanian sense, always discordant and present in each. This point understood in this way could secondly agree with the others and with the world: moving away from conformity and relying upon its desire to be oriented in existence.
