520			_aAccording to Lacan, the truth of human sexuality lies in fiction. That’s why one had better read Sophocles’ Oedipus or Longus’ Daphnis and Chloe than a medical textbook, if one wants to understand something about it. That is also why dreams and fantasies are the psychic form of its manifestation. Today, however, we are witnessing an attempt to contest the fictional nature and power of sexuality, in the name of various materialisms, whether social or biological. It is this epistemological and cultural break between sexuality and fiction, involving a kind of depsychization of sexuality, that this piece sets out to identify and analyze. With the end of fictions of sexual life and the exhaustion of their narratives, it is perhaps the very end of sexuality as a concept and as a paradigm that is being announced.
520			_aSelon Lacan, la sexualité humaine relève d’un régime de fiction comme lieu propre de sa vérité. C’est pourquoi il vaudrait mieux lire l’Œdipe de Sophocle ou Daphnis et Chloé de Longus qu’un manuel médical si l’on cherche à y comprendre quelque chose. C’est pourquoi encore rêves et fantasmes sont la forme psychique privilégiée de sa manifestation. Aujourd’hui, pourtant, on assiste à une tentative de contester la nature et la puissance de fiction de la sexualité au nom de différents matérialismes, sociaux ou biologiques. C’est cette rupture épistémologique et culturelle entre sexualité et fiction, rupture qui passe par une espèce de dépsychisation de la sexualité, que cet article se propose de repérer et d’analyser. Avec la fin des fictions de la vie sexuelle et l’épuisement de leur récit, c’est peut-être la fin même de la sexualité comme concept et comme paradigme qui s’annonce.
