520 _aIn May 1934, C.G. Jung was invited to spend a few days in Paris by Gros Caillou, the Paris analytic psychology club, to give a lecture on the collective unconscious. He attended Daniel Halévy’s literary salon on the eve of his lecture, chatting with readers and critics. This little-known chapter in the history of analytic psychology appears to have been a pivotal moment, giving rise to the crystallization of various representations.
