520 _aThe work of institutions (in the health field, social work field, etc.) consists in linking destructive and deadly violence from an instituting violence. This connection implies historiographic work and a “genealogical ranking.” When the institution does not take temporality into account (notably in case of genealogical changes), instituting violence becomes destructive and deadly. This reflection will be clarified using the example of an establishment (rehabilitation institute), where an excess of instituting violence may cause the institution to be taken down by those very people who had created it, in a true filicide.
