520 _aThis article seeks to stimulate reflection on the crossover between individual and collective traumas resulting from genocidal violence. In this context where do these traumatic images lead the victims? Through this clinical study, the case of a young male refugee from Rwanda, the following question is explored: how can a survivor of crimes against humanity on a massive scale reconnect with words that will enable him to gain a sense of his own humanity once again and, in doing so, free him from a past that haunts him.
