520 _aThe context of the present paper is European integration in the energy sector and the opening of the market to competition. A questionnaire study examined the feeling of justice expressed by 64 French and 61 Romanian managers working in the energy sector undergoing structural changes decided on a European and top-management level. Research on procedural justice has shown that a judgement is considered fair, which makes room for procedures that allow people concerned to refer to a higher authority for a chance to express themselves. On the other hand, research on integrative negotiation has shown the impact of the feeling that the interest of all partners is respected. This last factor, usually not explored in procedural justice research, was most decisive for the fairness judgements of the French managers and explained almost half of the variance. Romanian managers estimated that two aspects mattered: to have a voice, as well as the feeling of respect for the interest of the personnel.
