520 _aThe mission of the service “Kairos” in the L’Envol Children’s Home (Saint-Brieuc) is to develop possible alternative placements for adolescents considered non-integrable, and whose problems are at the moment incompatible with placement in a collective in-patient situation, because of the risk of aggravating their problems if they live with their peers. The support proposed by Kairos’ multi-disciplinary team can be based on placing the youth in a foster family. Kairos uses a certain number of principles: awareness of the young person’s relational problems, the idea of privileging the relationship with his/her educator rather than with the placement, prevention of breaking off of relations, establishing continuous support in spite of different placements
