Knowledge of the history of education, research into the origins of state treason and systems theory relieve symptoms and clarify clinical examples. The on-the-job suffering of the teachers/caregivers, as well as that of their students, deserves special attention which the simple media phenomenon cannot explain. Thus, how can we understand that the unique Middle School has come to turn the very reason for its existence upside down ? How can we accept the erosion, now visible, of the teaching staff, the adolescents and their families up against the Orwellian machinery, which is seemingly deaf to criticism and to the reality of the facts ? Stocktaking and analyses try to put an end to the strange silence which reigns at the expense of the he school population, whether professional adults or youth, complicit or not.
