245 0 0 _aThe transgenerational dimension in the group: clinical illustration
260 _c2018.

520 _aA clinical vignette illustrates, in a group sequence, the process of elaborating transgenerational objects. An incorporated object is mobilized in the group for a subject. The interplay of identifications that are formed in the space of the therapy group, in the transsubjective and intersubjective network, allows a process of elaboration to be initiated. Subsequently, for this subject, the group becomes a stage on which the family and infantile trauma is diffracted in space and time. The others adopt complementary roles and replay the traumatic scenes of the past. Identifying the diffracted transference as well as the countertransference is essential for getting beyond the confusion of the different imaginary viewpoints that are at work for a while and thus to make it possible to elaborate the transgenerational trauma.
