520 _aThis contribution is concerned with the moment when the child enters kindergarten. Clinical observations carried out during the month of September in the corridors of two first year classes of kindergarten made it possible to notice that the anxiety of the first days manifested itself not only in the child but also in the parents. Drawing on the concept of the narcissistic contract proposed by the psychoanalyst Piera Aulagnier, the author analyses the unconscious psychic processes that may be at work both in the child and the adults who have educated him by transmitting rules and values. It seems that these processes play a part in the elaboration of the child’s relationship to school and his integration in the institution.
