520 _aMy research studies analyse the results of an experiment concerning the use of the Journal des moments with an introduction by Rémi Hess. I have used this diary as a support in my work as a specialized educator with young adults, in a militarily inspired organization for integration in an epide centre (Establishment for Employment Integration). This centre caters for adults from 18-25 without qualifications, at risk of marginalization, who have agreed to take part in a programme of professional integration. These young people, who have failed at school and are sometimes illiterate, have found no alternative but to move away from the places where they live and to accept the constraints of a military style life. The results highlight the changes brought about in these apprentice diarists, and how writing was a real resource, even if it sometimes produces barely readable texts, which nevertheless became the support of choice for exchanges with the educator. The mediation of writing favoured a real work of reflexivity, both retrospective and prospective, by accepting to project oneself into the future.
