520 _aThe “Ligue du LOL” (Laughing out Loud League) affair, exposed in February 2019 in France, brought to light several acts of (cyber)bullying committed by journalists and communicators, mainly leveled at young feminist colleagues. The media controversy opposed two types of discourse, based on the binary model of accusation on the one hand, and image repair on the other. This paper offers a new perspective on this affair: the authors question its media coverage, which led to both new insights into cyberbullying and new forms of ignorance.
