520 _aThis study investigates the psychometric properties of a new coding system for the Lab-TAB (Goldsmith & Rothbart, 1999). This coding system measures emotional intensity and regulation behaviors in infants who are 6 months old. Inter-raters reliability was sufficiently high. Three factors emerged from analysis— attention, activity level, and gaze avoidance—which the literature refers to as emotion regulation processes. Internal consistency analysis revealed good homogeneity for these three factors. Concurrent and predictive external validity shows satisfying results. Lastly, this coding system shows differences between premature infants and full-term infants. In conclusion, this coding system shows good psychometric properties.
