| 520 | _aThe present article seeks to examine health care provisions and care-based relationships within the clinical context of neuromuscular disorders. The key issue is to understand how the structure of these relations, and mainly the dissymmetry that characterises them, are driven to change in the light of the dynamic that care relationships generate. To achieve this, and before addressing what is at stake in these relations, the theoretical literature defining the paradigm of care is reviewed. This paradigm is then confronted with gift theory on the one hand, and psychoanalysis on the other. Putting these two models into perspective, the author investigates the question of negativity that sometimes permeates care relationships in the light of clinical work with patients suffering from neuromuscular disorders. | ||
