520 | _aA special placement scheme for minors supported by the local child welfare services, the so-called “outsourced placement” scheme, is reviewed. Based on clinical experience in the field with families and practitioners developed through academic research, this paper proposes a model of the provision in which a clinical approach and intervention can be combined with educational and social approaches and interventions. It also aims to present some of the provision’s conditions and limitations. It emphasises the need for initial, continuous and multidisciplinary assessment, including the clinical approach, in order to work on how this provision, which cannot provide a suitable response to all family issues, is promoted. | ||
