520 | _aFive decades of feminist studies on science have renewed and significantly improved epistemological insights on fundamental notions such as objectivity and empirical evidence and, more broadly, on the issue of the role of values in science. Some of the most influential feminist positions in contemporary philosophy of science are discussed, which offer alternatives to the ideal of the value neutrality of science and open the possibility of a feminist scientific practice. The topic of the role and aims of science in our democracies is also discussed, which marks a political turn for the philosophy of science. | ||
