520 _aThe objective of this study is to carry out an economic analysis of the attractiveness of American Pentecostalism in Cameroon. The analysis focuses on a sample of 1 548 individuals living in the cities of Yaoundé and Douala, contacted as part of a field survey. Inspired by theoretical and empirical literature, particularly in economics and sociology, the econometric results, obtained by using a multinomial logit model, reveal that the attractiveness of American Pentecostalism in Cameroon is further explained by the strong physical, financial and spiritual assistance available in the Pentecostal religious communities.2JEL Codes: D10, D23, D60, Z12.
