520 _aWhen you are working with adolescents in crisis, the evaluation of the psychic and psychopathological functioning of their parents should be part of the diagnosis process. In a population of teenagers who are hospitalised in an acute psychopathological state, 74% of the parents presented or had presented a mental illness, which is significantly higher than in the general youth population (56%). Moreover, the more the psychopathology of the adolescent was severe, the more frequent was found a psychopathological illness in each of the two parents. When considering the treatment of these adolescents, we cannot neglect the parental suffering at the risk of ruining the care process of the children. It is, thus, necessary to evaluate this aspect in cross-talk meetings in order to define the possible resources of the family system but also the possibility to open a personal space for the teenager.
