Starting from the announcement of the illness which breaches the defences set up by everyone, we will see how the psychic effects of the illness concern not only the child who is ill but also his/her parents, his siblings, and the family equilibrium as a whole. Faced with the traumatism that such an experience represents, how can one be, stay or become a parent, and for which child ?
