520 _aThrough semi-structured interviews and both participant and non-participant observations, conducted in the context of doctoral research, this paper aims to analyze the transmission of the knowledge inherent in aesthetic and physical practices in single-sex fitness centers. These unique spaces, with respect to the separation of genders, prove conducive to the sharing of experiences and of knowledge acquired and/or incorporated between professionals and their clients as well as among practitioners. This makes them, above all, places of exchange.
