520 _aBased on the preparations for the construction and development of the plot of The Trial, this paper looks at the overlap between personal analysis and theatrical representation via a metaphorical approach, linking closely the course of the plot and the approach of the analysand, from the “pre-analytical” “procedures” (wandering, fantasies, symptom...) to the desire of the analyst, here the figure of Herr Huld. If the fictional position of K. on the theatrical scene is a metaphor of the subject grappling with analysis, then we can put into perspective the issue of the entry into analysis and the end of The Trial as an inevitable destiny.
