520 _aIn 1954, Lacan provided a commentary on the “Dick case” presented by Klein. Some psychoanalysts, taking inspiration from Lacan, have conceptualized autism as a “Real in the pure state,” where the three registers would be separated. This article shows that after realizing that Dick’s interests were there before the meeting with Klein, Lacan’s discourse changes, depicting a less Real Real than that described in his first sentences. Through a comparative reading between the edited version and the stenotype version of the seminar, this article proposes a knot for Dick, before the meeting with Klein, different from the traditional considerations of autism.
