520 _aWhen the terroristsâ?? identity of the London attacks, July 7th 2005, was revealed the British population was chocked. Unlike the attacks in New-York (2001) and those in Madrid (2004) where the terrorists came from foreign countries, the 4 authors of the suicide attacks of London were British citizen from countries of the New Commonwealth, of Muslim confession and who had always lived in the United Kingdom. More than the presence of troops in Iraq or even the Islamic issue, it is foremost an issue of multiculturalism that the attacks of the 7/7 came to question. The riots of 2001 and the reports of several experts had already brought to light the limits of this model. With the events of summer 2005, politicians and journalists now question the pertinence of multiculturalism.
