520 _aThe professional environment of documentation knows deep changes. Internet and new numerical technologies in network contribute to accelerate the transformation of the professional practices and call into question the dominating model of organization of documentation developed in years 1970-1995, i.e. the “resource centre”. More varied approaches of the management of documentation make possible today new proximities with the customer services, lead to fusions or synergies with other entities (data processing departments, files, communication...).It is a whole of diversified competences which it is necessary now to take into account, within the framework of a systemic approach of the management of lnfopolis, new city of information and documentation. In this context, the profession of documentalist seeks more clearly to affirm its positioning, its added value, its qualifications and its contribution to the development of the information and knowledge Society. That led the ADBS to develop and to publish a reference frame of the trades and qualifications, become recently a Euro-reference frame shared by nine trade associations of Europe.
