| 520 | _aThe “elderly care unit” of the hospital psychiatric sector 75G03 has been in existence since 1999. Its purpose is the evaluation and management of elderly people with previous psychiatric disorders and patients with no previous history with late onset disorders. Where the patient has lost their mobility, caregivers visit the person’s home. We present the case of a couple seen at home, initially for the management of a psychotic patient who suddenly broke their follow-up and treatment regime. Care was obstructed by her husband’s mistrust of us and his denial of his wife’s psychiatric problems. The husband, who also had cognitive difficulties, gradually began to trust us when we accompanied him through his care procedures. He then agreed to our meeting with his wife in his absence. | ||
