520 _aThe International Classification of Diseases (ICD), 10th version, is the international standard diagnostic tool for epidemiology, health management, and clinical purposes. The diagnoses of Mental and Behavioral Disorders are described in Chapter V of the ICD-10. For the first time, users and families are invited by the World Health Organization to take part in the revision of ICD-10 and thus in the preparation of ICD-11. This project consisted of asking users with a diagnosis of Chapter V (and their relatives) to focus on the Factors influencing health status and contact with health services, these being the categories of Chapter XXI of ICD-10. Research participants answered the Contextual Factor Questionnaire (QFC), corresponding to the 18 main contextual factors (beta version). They were asked to indicate to what extent these factors influenced a) the onset of a mental or behavioral disorder; b) the resurgence of such a disorder; and c) the recovery process. As reported in this paper, among these dimensions it was for the recovery process that the contextual factors were considered to be the most influential. Among these factors, health services, particularly for women, were associated with the onset of a mental or behavioral disorder ( trauma informed services), hence the phenomenon of nosocomial mental illnesses, which can be prevented by the intervention of peer mentors who are trained to discuss health determinants and life trajectories by using the QFC.
