520 _aIn a case study with a thematic analysis, we analysed the desire to have a child for women. The objective of our study was to understand the different disruptions that can upset the maternity project, from procreative mobility to exile. An inductive qualitative method was preferred because no prior hypothesis was made. The results show that the initial reproductive mobility, previously punctuated by ruptures and depressive episodes, enabled the subject’s maternity project to be re-appraised (a project that at the outset was a desire standardized and gendered by culture), to cross the threshold and to invest in a real project in exile.
