520 _aThe publication of Seneca’s Œuvres morales et mêlées by Pastor Simon Goulart at the end of the sixteenth century induces to interrogate the modalities of intervention of the Genevan polygraph when exploring the editorial genre of the “Œuvres mêlées” understood as a “treasure of philosophy”. The translation and the commentary of the writings of the Stoic philosopher reveal a new source of enunciation which subliminally recomposes the compiler’s ethos and the work’s significance.
