520 | _aIntercultural dialogue seeks to find its way between the extremes of an edifying idealism and a violent destructiveness. The reality of this dialogue is linked to specific political contexts which should be known in order to situate the practical dimension of the debate. On the basis of examples taken from the Bouchard-Taylor Commission in Quebec and the Round Tables of Interculturalism in Belgium, it can be shown how the media are evaluated in the dual perspective of the formation of intercultural discourse as a social fact and a more distanced reflection on this phenomenon. | ||
