520 _aThe aim of this article is to examine the reconfigurations and metamorphoses of the Spanish far right in the democratic system established during the years 1975-1982, analysing the main stages of its evolution. This far right appears as a nebulous group made up of numerous small groups that compete for the leadership and the Francoist legacy after the death of General Franco, but it does not manage to adapt to the electoral game. Although it was politically marginalised, it nevertheless managed to pose a serious threat to the emerging democracy by systematically opposing democratic reforms and participating in political and terrorist agitation and violence.
