520 _aThe child labor situation in Morocco is highly diversified from a professional point of view (types of jobs) as well as from a regional one (the socio-territorial context). This paper analyzes the confrontation between modern values and traditional ones as regards the fight against child labor. It reports on surveys conducted at the request of a Moroccan micro-credit association wishing to educate its personnel on the subject of children's rights. We show that in the field, operators from the association and artisans employing children are opposed to international programs and values being promoted, especially those of the International Labor Organization.
