Le passage des OMD aux ODD se situe dans un contexte où les questions planétaires, notamment climatiques, dominent les débats. La traduction des objectifs à atteindre en ressources à mobiliser et en résultats observables est particulièrement délicate pour un développement à la fois durable et inclusif. Cet article présente le bilan contrasté des OMD et traite des principaux enjeux des ODD dans un monde multipolaire et une financiarisation du capitalisme caractérisé par un déplacement de la richesse et de la puissance et la vulnérabilité d’une partie de la population. | 520 | _aThe Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), conceived in terms of social objectives to be achieved by 2015 solely for the countries of the South, did not call into question the collective preferences of the North. The transition from MDGs to SDGs took place in a context in which the debates were (and still are) dominated by global issues, particularly those related to climate change. Translating objectives to be achieved into resources to be mobilized and hence into observable results is difficult while at the same time ensuring that development is both sustainable and inclusive. This article presents the uneven results for MDGs and examines the main issues at stake for SDGs in a multipolar world in which the financialisation of capitalism is characterised by shifts of wealth and power and the vulnerability of part of the population.
